ELL-U: The Role of Culture in the Education of Adult English Language Learners

This course provides techniques and strategies to help educators in classrooms with adult English Language Learners (ELLs) create a culturally inclusive learning environment and facilitate (cross)cultural understanding among all members of the class. This course explores a range of topics related to the role of culture in teaching classes with adult ELLs. It illuminates the critical role of culture in teaching and learning and in educational relationships (e.g., between students and teachers, students and students, and students and the curriculum).

This course will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
